Whale vs basking shark

The average adult size of a whale shark is 10m although some specimens reaching 18 metres have been spotted. As said in my previous post, the whale shark is the largest living shark as well as the largest living fish, which is quite impressive.
The basking shark (or the pilgrim shark as it is called in French) can reach up to 12-13m but its average adult size is 6 to 8m.
